Once again in 2019 we will spend an evening celebrating the colourful diversity of our society, meeting up with people we already know and making new interesting acquaintances. This year the Soirée Internationale will focus on the African continent - from its music to its food, with wonderful entertainment in the show.
Regarding the musical entertainment, this time we have found these special guests:
Kobalo (link to the website) is a group of musicians from Burkina Faso, Senegal, bringing us a traditional sound. The band is comprised of Karim Sanou (calabash, ngoni & vocals), Djakali Kone (calabash, kora & vocals), Diogueye M`Baye (talking drum & percussion) und Louis Sanou (balaphon, ngoni & djembe).
Prince Zeka (link to website), who became acquainted with different countries and cultures in his childhood, is one of the most popular African musicians in Austria. His repertoire is multifaceted, intoxicating and expressive. Prince Zeka calls his music „Makoul“ – a style he developed himself, with the afro-beat, Congo rumba, reggae and funk combining in a refreshing mixture. With his warm voice he brings his distinctive tone to tongue-twisting rap and mellow soul, showing he can competently master both.
