Montessorischule Treffen (private)
Private protestant primary and secondary school for integral learning which has the right to grant recognised certificates and diplomas to its students.
An application must be made many years before the child starts school. There are long waiting lists.
There is however sometimes the opportunity for a child to move across from another school to enter a class at the same level (children are often removed or change to another school. It is therefore judicious to approach the school management).
The school set-up is oriented towards groundbreaking educational principles (Montessori-Education, Freinet-Education, Lifelong Learning) and features a structured set learning environment established by Maria Montessori. Some individual modules from Freinet-Education are also integrated into it.
In respecting these educational fundamentals the following didactic and organisational repercussions arise:
- space for self-determined growth- a remodeled environment which has a connection with a school setting - tuition commensurate with school academic years- learning in unrestricted steps- a schools inspector, children's morning and going-home sessions, presentations - team work- emphases on music and foreign languages (Italian, English).
